A story in the Post Dispatch (follow the link, above) reports a bold, mid-day break-in in the 200 block of Foxtail Drive. The owner, according to police, heard footsteps above him while he was in his basement. He went upstairs to investigate, and found a man and a woman in his house. They left when he confronted them, but not before the homeowner was apparently threatened by them as they pointed a "long-barreled weapon" from their car.
Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to call Detective Tim MacMann at 636-949-7900, extension 4449.
A neighborhood watch effort is being formed. Check back here for information regarding the first meeting, which will occur in early November.
Your blog administrator urges you to leave your garage doors down and entrance doors locked, even while you are at home. When leaving your home for extended periods, enlist the help of a neighbor to report any suspicious activities.
